Ordering Steps

Step 1

Measure your rough opening and wall depth: Choose what type of hollow metal frame you need based on the rough opening size, the wall thickness, where the opening is located, and how the frame will be anchored.

Step 2

Determine Door/Frame Handing and Size: Understand the direction the door swings (left or right, and reverse options) and accurately measure the height, width, and thickness of the door, as well as hinge pitching and strike location.

Step 3

Determine Hinge Placements: Identify the location of hinges on the door frame and measure the vertical distance from the top of the door frame to the top of each hinge, and the distance between hinges. If ordering a frame with the door, hinge placements will be fabricated to fit the frame.

Step 4

Choose Your Hardware: Decide how you want your door to stay closed, how to secure it, and what style fits your decor.
